About me!

• Hi, I am Dongwen(Andre) Ou, I got my B.S. degree in Mathematical Statistics at Xiamen University in summer 2025. In Spring 2024, I was an exchange student in the Department of Applied Mathematics at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.
• I am now in the M.S. program (class of 2027) in Statistical Science at Duke University, and I’m actively seeking research opportunities and plan to apply for STAT/CS PhD programs for Fall 2027. My research interests lie in the intersection of statistical machine learning, reinforcement learning and NLP&LLMs, including topics such as LLM effective reasoning & acceleration, Markov Decision Process, Contextual Bandits and MARL. I am particularly interested in developing theoretically grounded and practically effective methods for modern data-driven problems and the development of AI.
